Hunter S Kicks ass.

I just finished The Great Shark Hunt last night...good book. But Fear and Loating in Las Vegas and Kingdom of Fear are my favorites so far.

He just has a sense of rhythm to the world, or to people, or the country or something. Good stuff.

I bet most of the morons in here don't know who and how brilliant he is....but do yourselves a favor and read "The Rum Diary". It's absolutely amazing...

I've read "Fear and Loathing" and "Hell's Angels". I recommend them both.

Cool, thanks for the suggestion.

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

"It was the Law of the Sea, they said.
Civilization ends at the waterline.
Beyond that, we all enter the food chain,
and not always right at the top."

I am in the gambling business, for good or ill; it is the business I have chosen, and the only governing rule that we all recognize is: always sit close to an exit and never trust a man who doesn't sweat.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro!

The one Thompson quote that is a mantra around here! :thumbsup

I would highly recommend reading Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, the two movies on Thompson just doesn't do it justice!

HST fucking rules. When I was a kid I read the book where he travels with the bikers. I was scarred.

He inspired me to start using a cigarette holder. It's amazing you really can't help but talk like him when you use one.
