Any of you running local businesses aside from porn?
 

Just curious who else out there's a true entrpreneur. Not saying if you don't that you aren't one, you might already fill your time up, or are just happy with what you're currently doing. Any websites people are doing for local community?

We've finished the prototype for a new fishing apparatus....and we're waiting on the finished product....plus, a product line for a mainstream project....

see sig....I hope that within three years, I'll make more money from my writing than I will with porn..That would be a dream...I would give up porn if I could still sit here on my ass and get high and have checks coming in regularly...

I'm just addicted to the webmaster lifestyle...I'm to the point where it doesn't matter what product I push, as long as I get paid doing it.

Why the laughing? A lot of people just come into porn because there's money to be made, but I know a few people who are more actually entrepreneurs.

Because it's that mindset that has created some of the problems in this biz.

The mindset of I'm doing this until I get a "real" job.

I'm an entrepreneur...I kill myself to provide a product, a service whatever daily. And just because it's not mainstream or it's not brick and mortar doesn't make it less real.

I know you attempted to clarify your statement, but the fact that you worded it that way speaks volumes.

What industry? Sales or service?

We run a advertising agency for bars / clubs here in town. Just started about 6 months ago and its blowing up :)

today i decided to help a friend open a bookstore :thumbsup

Speaks volumes? I don't think it speaks anything other than I realize that this IS a business. What I said says nothing regarding my motives or future plans. Doing well in an industry requires proper attention, whether it's adult or other.

Diversification is the way to go!

We have a family farm, I run 2 fencing businesses, help my parents with their various ventures, build the occasional site for local businesses and help others in the village with getting on-line.

I got the 2 biggest local website and ALSO the biggest local porn website (our site was talked a lot on TV and Radio).

i can say i don't shit for my community, but i have other sources of income coming in online, my baby is still not live, yet...will be when college start in fall...just picked up a dvd domain so i'm about to start on that
