it says that it's free, but what's in it for them?

Its only free if you use their sponsors... but if you do then yes its really free!

If you want the freedom to do whatever you want with your gallery and to pick your own sponsors its about $1.25 per submission run.

I think in this case I'll try running it with their sponsors once, and see how it works...
if it's good, them $1.25 per run is really not that much

I'm having trouble configuring my submission server..
it always fails....I enter all my ftp info correctly, and it says:

Whilst trying to communicate through the specified Server, an error was encountered

Please consult with the Users Guide about Submission Server and Troubleshooting

next to my host adress it says: This Submission Server may be unreliable
