May 22nd at the Omni Ambassador East. Come eat, drink and meet other webmasters from the area.
If your not from Chicago and plan on being in the area or want to make the trek for the party, it should be a good time.

Yeah, we had a great time last year.
(About 35 people showed up.) A few of us ended up goin to the strip bar, then bar hopping till 4:30 am.

This year we're having it in an actual party room, got sponsors and are giving away prizes as well. So we're expecting a larger turn out.

Should be a great time.

It's hard to say how many will show up this year. We're expecting about 50, but who knows. A lot of people say they'll come, yet never RSVP.

If you want to come, you need to RSVP for it. (Anyone is welcome but we need to know your coming.) If your not on the list of attendees, then we're not expecting you.

I would look into the Conrad Hilton on S. Michigan, but the rooms are through the roof right now. Likely because of the convention.

If you have a AAA card, they have a suite for $409 a night, no AAA card, no suite.

Better hurry!

today is speedy's birthday and the house is full of family for the holiday weekend/birthday bash. i will look into this asap (by monday for sure) and see what i can get booked for us.

this will be the first public appearance i've made in a few years, hehe. the last webmaster function i went to didn't go very well so i'm a smidge on the paranoid side now.

still talking this over, my birthday is on may 11th and am taking a few days off for that, so i need to juggle everything around and make sure i can afford to take more time off and the extra expense of going to this. :winkwink:

The first Chicago convention was awesome. Watching Hank get lap dance after lap dance. . . I don't even know why the girls bothered getting off his lap. :)

If people aren't having luck finding hotels nearby or want to save a little money, it isn't real close, but not too far (1/2 hour / 45 minutes) could look at some of the pump-n-dumps that the shithole cities of Kenosha, or Racine WI offers.

Just booked my room at Omni, $230 per night.... rooms are still available! Was gonna get Oprah tickets... booked for the rest of the yr

For hotels you can try the CongressPlaza and Alegro, both around $150-$200 a night and 10 minutes away.
