No more bud in Holland?

The goverment is thinking about banning weed due to the ammount of thc being to high. They say it is almost comparable with hard drugs nowadays. Damn, 40 years of "gedoogbeleid" flushed down the drain if this goes through :(

torrey 04-07-2004 03:08 AM

Is there such a thing as too much THC?? :glugglug

nofx 04-07-2004 03:08 AM

gedoogbeleid?

spentrent 04-07-2004 03:10 AM

Jeez imagine walking into a coffeeshop to roll a mexican dirt weed blunt. Is this related to the pre-election doomsday predictions?

haha thats what they call it in Holland, it means it is not totally legal but they won't arrest you for it. Something like that, same with the hookers if I am correct :)

TheMob 04-07-2004 03:12 AM

wow, that would suck.. but i have to agree, the bud available nowadays is way too strong. much stronger than it was 3 or 4 years ago. perhaps they should have a regulated thc limit..

well whats most bullshit about this is that you can walk into any bar and get a beer with 5% alcohol or something stronger with 80% without a problem. Probably due to the fact that other countries (france) are complaining about our gedoogbeleid.

They should ban themself. Stupid unfriendly-wine-drinking-bread-eating smellheads over there.

Or as they so beautifully say: "nous sommes un groupe de personnes gaies"

hehe don't worry they probably won't be able to ban it within the next year or something :thumbsup

FuqALot 04-07-2004 07:54 AM

They wont make it illegal I guess. Some people are always trying but eventually it will just stay legal.

btw, did you move from west to east (dutch border) :P.

According to me they will ban it due to the pressure of the EU. And yes I moved in december to Hengelo :glugglug

Yeah, maybe... but isn't it true that more eu countries are willing to legalize it. Just the bigger countries don't want it to happen, damn frenchies.

kowntafit 04-07-2004 08:06 AM

Damn, that sucks.

I guess all good things come to an end. :(

hehe indeed

Ash@phpFX 04-07-2004 08:08 AM

what a pile of shit. firstly, the increase in thc levels in weed is extremely small, and is only due to better growing conditions and selective breeding. plants take many gererations to have any major type of change.

and secondly, if the tch levels were higher, it would mean that you would have to smoke less, meaning less carcinogens and all the other crap that weec contains that is bad for you, thus making weed healthier.

Basic_man 04-07-2004 08:41 AM

As you might know redbull is originally a sportsdrink wich should give you a rush after you drank it. It is NOT meant to mix with vodka or something and drink the ammounts some of those youngsters are drinking. Kinda hard to believe but they say some already od'ed

Lucy 04-07-2004 09:59 AM

Simply because stronger weed is available doesn't mean that everyone buys it all the time. Different grades of weed are only an indication of a tiered market. No different than Everclear being available vs. beer - Everclear damn near 200 proof, but that doesn't mean you buy cause its stronger. Using THC levels as a good reason for restricting use is ridiculous.

matty 04-07-2004 10:14 AM

oh no... what is the world coming to?
