Just saw "Donnie Darko"...........this is an overlooked classic.....a very unusual movie but really well done.............

I strongly suggest it to those who have not seen it.

I gave it a real try the other nite on ABC to watch that........but its fucking almost 5 hours long, and had the sominex effect on me........I did give it a good try........

besides, that Old Testament god is nothing but a fire and brimstone egomaniac who wants his ass kissed all the time.

You need acid just to stay in tune with that fuckin movie! Almost as bad as Vanilla Sky!

Have to second that...........or how about that fabulous sequence of the slo-mo off the bus and then in the school to "Head Over Heels"? That was outstanding.

Probably my favorite movie of all time. Went as Donnie Darko last halloween, using the same costume he wears to the halloween party near the end. Tried to find a Frank costume, but sadly, they aren't made or sold anywhere :(

That fucking bunny scares the shit out of me, seriously... I'm really feared of it, how it just went into the Mirror behind you and shit, I was shaking.:(

Knowing

A water main breaks, resulting in repair crews unearthing an elementary school's time capsule. But when the chairman of the town's historical society opens the capsule, he finds more than he bargained for. Full of children's drawings, the sketches are predictions of the future. But one child's pictures are much more than ridiculous future worlds. Each sketch accurately predicts some of the greatest tragedies from the past fourty years. Only one of the drawings has yet to come true. In a race against time, the chairman sets out to prevent the last drawing from becoming a reality.

Donnie Brasco is much better, but Donnie Darko is ok....

The bunny is one of the 'manipulated dead', which is explained in '<a href="http://www.tonystuff.co.uk/darko-time.htm">
The History of Time Travel' </a>. Basically his existence is a result of the Alternate universe that the majority of the movie takes place in. His job is to help guide Donnie along a path that will result in his willingness to sacrifice his own life, by sending the artifact (the jet engine) back through the portal which will end his own life in the original universe; thus ending the paradox that the movie is based on
Sound confusing? It really is. And that's only one interpretation, and the only one I've found plausible.

Yeah, I dug that flick. Very unique and original.
