password sites?

Someone provided a number of free "hacked/stolen" password sites with one of my clients username and password.

I learned how to delete it from my htpasswd file and stopped it cold.

After running the numbers the bandwidth cost vs the number of new sign-ups was 3 times better then the TGP ratios that I am running.

How or where can I post a username and password so that it gets out to these people for a couple days?

Also, once I shut it down I got quite a spike in sign-ups. They must of liked what the saw but could never finish it all.

Sites with password submissions access please.

thanks as allways.

:thumbsup

I can not find anyway on either site to submit a password to my site.

Is there a hacker forum that they get these off of?

This is a very good way to make some extra money but I would highly suggest you install http://www.stopthathacker.com first.

Then you can set it to kill the leaked password after so many uses since you can't be awake 24/7 to know when to kill it.

If you are sleeping when they hit you and you don't have something like Stop That Hacker installed you could lose money from excessive bandwidth charges very very fast.

Hugs,
Danielle

thanks.

I have enough shared bandwidth between all my servers to sleep for a while.

Like I said earlier, the costs justify the means.

BUT - how do you do it? or just give me a good URL to go to.

Submit to bots on irc.. its not great traffic, but better than tgp.

That is crazy you guys actually make money off those free passes. I figured that would kill you having a ton out there.

You have to know what you are doing. It's a fine line between making a few thousand on a leaked password and losing a few thousand in bandwidth charges.

Anyone that trys it without some type of throttle is very stupid.:) And will pay dearly for it.

Danielle

Be aware that a large majority of signups generated from "password sites" are made with stolen credit cards. I predict you'll see an increase in chargebacks if you leak logins to these password sites.

(Ever wonder why sponsors dont accept warez/password site traffic? That is one of the reasons)
