sorry, had to say it...putting together a playlist for a special Placebo show i am going next week sometime. It is always good to be reminded why you love the band you love.

I like some of their stuff... :)

i know they aren't everyone's cup of tea so not preaching to the masses but they really float my boat. I guess as I have seen them live 6 times they better!

If I was forced to come up with a description I'd say "dark-end alterna-rock" but someone else might be able to come up with a better one.

Placebo isn't really known in the US (yet?). A friend of mine told me about them 2 years ago and ive been listening to them ever since

I don't know much of their stuff..but I dig Pure Morning. Good tune :winkwink:

it is difficult..people never can really describe them. I have heard it called Dark Wave but then I heard that used with more dancey stuff. Then i heard someone call them goth pop..they aren't really pop. So, they are broody music for people that like a lot of black and the ocassional kick ass gutair.

those are the lyrics to their poppiest..most radio friendly song and what you don't hear from reading the lyrics is the beat and the tongue in cheekness with which he is singing the words. Don't worry, i really am not preaching them to the masses...you get them or don't.

Placebo fucks me up. Sometimes I take 4 at a time...

I have to take them for my angina. Mine is the "control group" kind of angina. My dr. didn't want me to know I had it... I guess it's bad.
