Do you day trade?

What company are you with? What books are good to read up on to learn basics and more in depth information? Thanks

If you don't already know, then day trading may not be the best type of trading to start off with. Learn the basics first, start a DRiP plan, then when you really grasp how the markets work give day trading a try. Not trying to make you sound ignorant, just trying to give you some advice. Fool.com is a great starting point. :2 cents:

Problem is that if you start small the commissions will destroy your profits. If you want to make some money fast, you are better of investing in smaller companies long term or maybe perhaps buying options.

Invest in a solid deversified portofilio with short, mid-ranged stocks. You will see a 10% return/year. (doable) And you won't lose your money.

On the other hand -> start daytrading with lets say 50K$ times 4 = 200K$, lose half of it -> than you're 100K$ in the hole.. you than lost ALL your money and you need to find 50K to pay your debt...

with 500 or 1000 day trading won't work...

With 500 to 1000 and day trading, by the end of the month you will either have 0 or 1120.10

It is a lot of work and with such a small amount, it will not pay much fast. But then you may get lucky get a stock to 10cents a share put in the 1000 and sell 2 hours later at 6 dollars.

The worst part is the stress.

From what I understand to be a true "Day Trader" you have to have a license and trade big.

If your just trying to play stock, I use ShareBuilder.com.

Don't get into trading securities! You'll lose your money. If what to make money get some 'highrisk' Mutual Funds and don't go into dept. :2 cents:
