Regardless of whether you believe the recent thread about a looming fed crackdown on adult (as opposed to CP) porn, the issue does come to mind that government can regulate an activity either through prosecutions or taxing.

This is how government works--if you like an activity, you subsidize it. If you want to (implicitly) slow down or discourage an activity--you tax it.

I know, I know, some people would say that doesn't make any sense since the government taxes most economic activity. But therein lies the truth of the statement above... We'd have a bigger economy if the government just stayed the FUCK AWAY from taxing it.

How about rephrasing this question as "Which is worse: Being beaten and buttfucked every day for years in jail or paying taxes?"

If the governement tax it, everything will simply move to europe and canada.

Obviously no one want's to be prosecuted or taxed! but believe me! if you had to choose!
