What features would your ideal affiliate program have?

Let's just assume the content is exclusive and high quality. Let's also assume conversions are high and retention is excellent. What would it take for you to promote a program to the fullest? What kind of payouts would you like to see (recurring, PPS)? Are hosted galleries of big importance? What kind of promotional assistance would you need? How about prize incentives?

If you could design the perfect affilaite program, what would it have? :Graucho

I'm all about revshare as long as the members section is updated regularly and it retains good. Content/Hosting is awesome for gallery pushers also.

Are there any processors you'd prefer? Does cascading billing peak your interest via MPA, or do you like seeing stats straight from the processor?

one thing I'm constantly missing is a way to see how much I'm currently owed.. sc has that and it's nice for us that promote a lot of different programs and can't remember or keep track :Hollering

Interesting. I never even though of that feature. That does sound like it'd be very helpful. :thumbsup

Recurring and hosted galleries are key.

I'm all about knowing my sponsor, talking to them on an almost daily basis, see how things are going

that establishes a great amount of trust between us and very healthy business :thumbsup

How about the affiliate program's design? Is flashy what attracts you, or is it better to have it nice, simple and in your face?

For sure, talking to them on the phone, getting to know about new products they plan on working with etc.

forgot to add that affiliate newsletters be it monthly or bi-monthly are a great way to communicate with your affiliates and get them excited about your program.

If I had the choice to build the ideal affiliate program, it would be a collaboration between a statistics-driven incorporation of actual users' content/navigation/text preferences and webmasters' design/promotion skills.

Basically similar to BYOT but about 3 generations advanced.

It should have the following:

dynamic click tracking
dynamic tours-click pairing
context detection
personalized content for users based on click history

Basically, build retention while maximizing webmasters' income but not rewarding webmasters for being complacent.

If you were running the program, would you keep in touch with the select few who are making the majority of your cash, or would you try to nudge slacking webmasters to get a move on it?

Personally what I look for first is whether there's a revshare and a webmaster option. All the rest is gravy, baby.

So as long as you get monthly recurring and a percentage kickback for referrals, you're a happy camper?

I wish everybody was the easy! :thumbsup

Hundread of banners NOT made by the same designer, many galleries, couple full page ads, many tours for the same paysite to split up the traffic and help conversions
