the movie industry is based on ROI. producers will create what they can turn a profit on, they have no other agenda.

and, you can make "statistics" say anything you want.

the simple fact is that films without sexual content SHOULD gross more---they are unrestricted---more people can see Bambi than Deep Throat, and bigger audiences will generate bigger grosses.

and mainstream films usually COST MUCH MORE to produce than low-budget erotic fare, so though erotica produces less gross revenue the % NET NET on erotica can be greater than mainstream films.

as soon as the desire for erotica is totally absent you can say goodbye to the human species---without a hard dick there will be no procreation.

Good, maybe mainstream should concentrate more on actual story telling and stop using cheap social cliche's to get attention.

From the sounds of it, the study was run with the purpose of proving sex wouldn't sell. That's not how you do studies. Not to mention the American market has been living in fear, heavily unemployed, and constantly bombarded with negative, fear-inducing messages on television (usually for profit).

Scared poor people like things that reassure them, and are told over and over again by every form of mass media in the US that sex is bad. The mind control games are getting so obvious that I hope more people can see them, the pages come straight out of Orwell. Obey...
