Spain - anyone else find that almost funny?
Spanish people flock to vote in underdogs at the election because of the bombing, and the new 'liberal' government declare they're pulling out of any hostilities so they are no longer a target.
But...more bombs are being found ready to cause a lot more carnage. What the fuck is the matter with them? They decided to become involved in the war (rightly or wrongly). You have to laugh at any nation that fucking stupid that they think by pulling out now it will all go away. Has Spain become the dumbest nation out there? Good grief. |
They may not be dumb but since they bowed down to the terrorists that is only going to ratchet up the attacks on them. Weakness is going to be exploited by the terrorists.

For what it's worth I'm anti-much of this shit. However, if you decide to take part you have gotta be stupid to think you can then back out without finishing what you've started. |

The new government had already promised to bring home the Spanish soldiers before the terrorist attack took place, unless a new resolution is presented to the UN that gives the UN more power in Iraq.

You dissapoint me Tipsy.
"They" decided, quite clearly, that they didn't want anything to do with the invasion, when millions of people take to the streets in every major city the message is pretty damn clear. Aznar decided _on his own_ to send a paltry thousand troops (Which are doing no good anyway) because he liked to hobnob with Dubya. The cocky little fucker even talked about "securing his place in history". the absolute WANKER. So he got turfed out on his ear. And the current lot are doing exactly what they said they'd do over 6 months ago. Quote:
Fuck. I thought you were an intelligent guy. And FYI I use that railway line on a regular basis, so I don't find it FUCKING FUNNY AT ALL |

Spain is a joke.
Its like fighting a bully, getting a black eye, and then stop fighting back entirely. Pussies... |
Say whatever you want. Fact is, the president stuck with his plan despite pressure from the US. He said it long ago that he'll remove the troops if the UN doesn't get to play a wider role and he's sticking to it. Neither the terrorists nor the US where able to make him change his plan.
90% of people in Spain where against the war on Iraq and yet there president at the time went along with it, he even went as far as to imprison a couple of innocent muslims and saying that they're terrorists just to get more support for his war. And after the train attack he lied and kept blaming the ETA. |
