XM Radio KICKS ASS !!

Wow, my wifey got an XM Radio unit installed on my vehicle for my b-day and I love it. The "Boneyard" station is excellent, playing hard rock/metal songs that I never thought that I'd ever hear on the radio, stuff like Tyketto, Loudness, Bang Tango, plus the Liquid Metal channel kicks ass with it's Deicide and other death metal :) The comedy channels are also pretty good, it's great because it's all uncensored and NO commercials, gotta love technology, he he he.

For those of you that live in the city, you probably already got some nice stations to listen to, but for me, I live in a smaller area that has lots of country stations, a classic rock station, 2 pop stations, and only one rock station that, but most of the time they either classic rock, Van Halen, or the same old songs over and over and over again. It's nice that I don't have to deal with those stations ever again, ha ha ha.

I always wanted to get it when I was hauling cars. Be sure to listen to Phil Hendrie if you get a chance, channel 152.

I live near LA and radio sucks, I have a six disk cd changer and live by it but a good radio station selection would be sweet.

San Frans better then LA for radio and they both really suck.

I'm looking at a dvd player sterio like pioners new one, since you can get about 60 sings on one dvd.

It just came out last monht, it has navigation, dvd, cd, and is all touch screen. If it doesn't have xfm then I will most likly not get it if xfm is really that good.

Thanks for the tip, I'll keep my eyes peeled for him

That DVD stereo sounds like it kicks ass.

I had to run out late last night and was listening to it more and I just keep loving it more and more. I don't know what your style of music is, but they have quite a few channels, I'm into the hard rock/metal, so I mainly listen to the "Boneyard". They were playing stuff like Marty Friedman and Yngwie, it totally amazes me hearing that kind of stuff on radio. Heck, even in the cities, I never heard that kind of stuff.

What's beautiful is that you can just scroll down and see a list of all of the songs that are currently playing, instead of going from station to station. Plus another thing that's nice is that it's uncensored :)

You can pay a couple of bucks extra for a Playboy station -

That looks pretty interesting, but with a wife and kids, probably not a good thing for me to get, ha ha ha.

if it also plays mp3s, you can fit thousands and thousands of songs onto a DVD

XM / Sirius radios are cool but ...

I remember my friend had one and whenever you pass a bridge, or some large metal objects, sometimes even like road signs on highways the radio would cut out for a sec with a blip it was very annoying, it needs direct line of sight to the satellite in the sky, right?

We've had it for over a year. In the house, cars, pcs, can't be without it. We've got the family plan.

XM is the bomb

I wish XM would get a CourtTV channel like Sirius.

Yes. It annoys the shit out of me. I have both XM and Sirius. Now that the trees are re-growing their leaves I have a lot of blank spots. Even the damn leaves block the signal.

And sometimes just driving by power lines makes it go out. Weird shit.

Sounds like either a bad install or bad equipment. Leaves don't block the signal, only metal.

Yeah, I noticed a couple of spots where I drive downtown, it goes out for a second here and there because of the taller buildings, but I can live with that to have some good radio :) I'm sure more in the cities with overpasses, it might seem more annoying.

Yep, it needs to see the Southern sky.

I wish I had it, $10 a month right?

:disgust

Yep, that's not too bad, it's worth it to me to have no commercials, ha ha ha
