Someone is using my ref code for a sponsor, what should I do.

Today, when I went to check my stats to one of my sponsors I noticed that my clicks had risen a lot for no reason!

So I checked the referral URLs for the clicks and it seems that someone is using my linking codes for mistake!

What should I do? Contact the sponsor and warn them about the mistake or just keep quiet and hope I get some extra bucks? (his traffic hasn't converted so far)

Well, the guy haven't converted yet. He sent 42 clicks so far to one site that I don't promote of this sponsor. I'll let his traffic flow for a while before i decide what to do.

But I think I'll end up contacting the sponsor. I'm a nice guy after all...

Keep in mind if hes spamming or doing something else that crosses the line to get that traffic its your reference code that will take the heat.

I would tell them. Its not worth the risk.

Often scammers will copy galleries verbatim to submit to TGPs. They don't give a shit about making sales, they just want to redirect the traffic to dialers or popup hell. That's why they don't bother to change your refid. Be careful!
