The Sex Talk - do you say "gay" is okay?
 

At what age do you start telling your kids about sex - and do you also tell them its okay to be "gay"? or pass along the hate?

You should say it's OK to be gay if you want to set it up for them to be butt banged by their drama teacher. They will assume it's OK.

I wouldn't exactly tell them "don't be gay!", since kids tend to do the opposite of what their parents tell them just to make them mad :thumbsup

my 4 year old, turning 5 this year, keeps asking me why i dont have big boobies like her mom. I tell her, boys dont get boobies. So she goes on to say that when she is grown up she will have big boobies. lol. and she keeps asking me this shit...

now granted she is 4 years old... the only sex talk i had with her was to tell her that NOBODY is to touch her private spots, and if someone tried to touch her in those places , to tell her mom or dad. But again, shes 4, and if i dont feel quite comfortable yet giving her 'the' sex talk, cuz she will go and repeat it to all her friends and teachers at school , and i dont want it to come out all wacky (which of course it will).

i think ill wait one more year, when shes 5 and change. Cuz if i wait any longer then that, she will already know the basics, thanks to her friends at school.

how about have sex around the house on a daily basis? think they will learn about sex?

If my kid was gay, I'd tell him it was fine. Then I'd probably home school him until college because kids are brutal. Why ruin their childhood? The gay kid at my school got daily beatings, spit on, made fun of constantly. That's no life for a kid.

better yet show them gay videos

Not from the "drama teachers" but from YOU and the prejudice you pass along with stupid comments like you made above.

I have 3 daughters
9, 11 and 12
they have asked questions and we try to be honest
but I cant say anything specific about the gay topic.
They know what gay is and just say its silly.
You have to like a young mind that doesnt allow
the mind set of society make decisions for them
Kids are amazing

im not sure yet what my reaction will be to a gay conversation, i mean i dont want her to be (not that any parent does) but if she is i wont disown her either
