CNN News Conference - Audrey Seiler
 

There is a news conference on CNN regarding the Audrey Seiler investigation if anyone wants to watch it. They said they no longer believe there is a suspect at large and that her claims regarding being abducted are completely false.

They also have security camera video of Audrey purchasing the items she claimed her abductor used on her, a rope, duct tape, cold medicine, etc. They found the items to use as evidence and later discovered that she bought them herself.

This girl needs serious mental help. :(

They also just said they have evidence of pre-planning of the whole thing. In addition to the video of her purchasing the items used, she had done searches on her computer for "Madison wooded areas and parks" and weather conditions for the next 5 days. (She was missing for 4 days.)

she just needs some attention, and now she's got it. she'll be fine for a couple months.

I sure hope she gets the help she needs because she has some definite mental health issues. I'd say at the very least, a personality disorder. She also needs to suffer the legal consequences of her actions....I am sure her family and friends are feeling terribly ashamed because of what she did. Hopefully, she'll feel some of that shame, too, and use it to get help and turn her life around.

I agree, she needs serious help. I almost feel sorry for her because she probably still doesn't realize just how profoundly this could affect her life. She made a horrendously horrible mistake. I mean, she probably will not return to her college, and this incident could hinder her ability to get into another college later. If she doesn't get a college education, whatever she indends to do with her life might become impossible and she might end up working some dead-end job that will make her miserable for the rest of her life. She may also have difficulty finding a job for a few years until people forget who she is, because employers don't want to hire dishonest and/or mentally unstable workers. She may have just killed her future, at least for a few years, all for a couple of weeks of attention.
