Lasik in the morning..

10:10 am. I'm sitting here working on tomorrow night's update so I don't have to do anything but upload tomorrow night.

I have to admit.. I've got the jitters though.

I know alot of people who've done it and so far, nobody complained! Everyone was more than happy with the results. My husband wants it done for his 30th birthday.....maybe that'll be his gift!!

All the best PK, don't stress!

Bansheelinks 04-01-2004 11:02 PM

Isn't Lasik the actual cutting? I always heard laser was better.

Well they call what I'm having done Lasik and they cut the flap with a excimer laser.

Don't worry about it PK. The hubby has had 4 laser treatments over the last few months and if something was going to happen, it would have to him. lol His luck runs that way. (It wasn't lasik that he had done) But I consider anytime someone comes at your eyes with a laser to be pretty scary. ;-)

He came thru it fine. Actually rode the bus home after resting for a couple of hours at the drs office. I guess he couldn't see much for a day or so, but again it wasn't the lasik treatment which is much more minor than what he has to have done. One or two more treatments to go for him yet.

Just make sure you have a driver!! :) Luck GF!

Bansheelinks 04-01-2004 11:28 PM

Good luck PK.............it seems pretty rare there is a prob with it.......my bro and relatives had it done.......my bro only had dry eyes for a time........some touch ups are necessary over the years but its minor

Illicit 04-01-2004 11:29 PM

Good Luck ! Dont worry about a thing...

BigFrog 04-01-2004 11:31 PM

always something that ive wanted to get done for myself.

DrewKole 04-01-2004 11:32 PM

Good luck with it hon. =)

Im still waiting for LASEK to get a bit more technological...

Thats the one where they shave the entire flap off, then put it back on, and let it fuse itself again. =(

Was going to do it 2 years ago, but they said I'd be out, and not able to drive, etc for 6 weeks....

=/

Axeman 04-02-2004 12:34 AM

Did that about an hour ago. Just finished up tonight's update so I won't have to do much but sleep after.

They gave me a script for a couple or Xanax. They want me to come home right after the surgery and take one and sleep for 2 or 3 hours. Then get up and start with the drops, etc. hehe.. kids were cracking jokes about the funny goggles they gave me to wear when I sleep for the first week.

Pornopat 04-02-2004 02:40 AM

Everything will be fine. Just a little more time and there will be no more problems with glasses getting steamy and irritating your nose and ears. No more hassles with losing contacts in the sink (happens to me a lot!) or in the swimming pool.
Its just a minor operation.

Mr. Marks 04-02-2004 02:57 AM

lots of luck!:thumbsup

Good luck, PK!!

My son's been wanting it for years, but since he's known he was going into the USAF for over a year, he's waiting to get it for free, lol!

Everyone I know who has had it thinks it's the GREATEST thing to be able to wake up and see every morning :)

Sosa 04-02-2004 09:04 AM
