Icq fucks up all the time anybody else?
 

I start the fucking shit and when it loads the new messages then the shit frezzes and nothing happens anymore
and icq when it does this takes about 90-99% of cpu for some reason

anybody know how to fix it?

I had to un and reinstall many times this past month

Get the 2002 version.The newer versions are crap and full of bugs

no, but someone just wanted me to add them and i accidently clicked something else and *poof* it was gone.........damnitt :(

yea i get the sounds toand the program starts and i always see the new messages but they dont blink yellow i can only see that somebody wrote to me

icq is fucked up everyday for me ...

me too... but im not sure its ICQ... since when my ICQ doesnt work... I cant dowload properly also.. or I cant make an online purchase... (will stop in the middle of the cc transfer process) Its like if my connection was timing out for a fraction of second all the time... but then again.. it doesnt do that on other computers in the appartment using the same connection... wtf...

The only thing it does to me is it chooses when it will allow me to add someone. lol One minute it might let me add and I try it again 5 mins later and nothing. Grrr I still use a 2002 build too.

On the timing out on secure pages... keep your HD defragged and it won't do that. I don't know the exact corelation between the fragged drive and the secure server but it directly affects it. Might be the added time the HD takes to read itself or whatever.

If your ICQ locks you up, hit the ctrl and alt keys at the same time (several times usually) sometimes that will unfreeze it. If that doesn't work, try the full -ctrl-alt-del- and then cancel it. That will unfreeze things sometimes. Doesn't always work tho.

More than half the problems you guys whine about stems from you not doing proper maintenance on your systems. So get a mirror and whine to/cuss yourownselves. :1orglaugh
