Wasteful Spending of Your Money Starts On A Local Level
 

I always love reading the entries in our Sunday paper which report our local city and county expenditures for the week. It just blows my mind how these bureaucrats spend our tax dollars.

There's always a few of them that make you laugh and know somebody is profiting off the govt even on a small level.

Example from this weeks bullshit:

$27,304 for sea turtle monitoring services.

$300,000 to beautify a road median with flowers and landscaping.

$229,000 for agressive driver monitoring.

Don't you feel any sympathy towards sea turtles?

They're doing the same thing here on a road that is somewhat congested already. They're taking out a lane to add a median and some trees. :mad:

yes i agree with you krl they should take that money and puy ito better use like shelters for the homeless. But as long as they give keeping these grants out our money is truly wasted.
