Kerry Alleged Criminal?

Whats next, terrorist?! He'd best be careful or he'll be seeing Gitmo up close and personal. I was waiting on something like this and expected nothing less out of Dubya and cronies. :glugglug

This reminds me of the Clinton bunch...

it doesn't matter if we break any laws or not as long as we win.

Geeesh those people are desperate aren't they? :1orglaugh

The RNC just like the article says. Kerrys campaign is named as one of the bunch involved so that is the same as saying Kerry.

They need to just put a cap on how much each party is allowed to have to use, period. Say 50mil or something and that is that. End all this petty bickering once and for all.

I just had a feeling that some sort of scandel would get started a long these lines. I spent a lot of years as a registered republican. Reagan and then bush sr brought me to my senses. Not that I wouldn't vote for a repub president if he was the best but when they pull all these stunts one after the other, then Ross Perot starts to look mighty good.

Basically they are saying that if the local Ladies club wanted to run a commercial with their personal choice for pres etc, they'd have to register etc etc etc and declare etc etc etc. While Bush gets all that slush from hundreds of places. And if dug in to deep enough might be shady themselves.

Yet another attack on free speech.

I'm not sure limiting and regulating where these clowns get their money is such a bad idea. There are a lot of shady dealings and the more they are forced to keep their funding out in the open the better. I don't think it really effects their "free speech". You usually can't shut them up anyway...

The committee says the groups are part of an "unprecedented criminal enterprise" to circumvent federal campaign laws and pour illegal soft money contributions into the 2004 race.

sad that they have to sue over 'soft' money when they have over 140 million dollars to spend on a fucking campaign.

Screaming 03-31-2004 10:06 PM

of course they are gonna pull every scrap of dirt they can find on him from now until elections

Gemini 03-31-2004 10:31 PM

Dave... the freedom of speech comment was meant that the RNC says that anyone that makes a commercial they deem as political, they want all the red tape they can manage to put up dealt with.

So MoveOn.Org is not allowed to express their feelings without Kerry claiming the funds that moveon uses, as his own basically. So if *I* wanted to make a cable commercial and run it, its 1000 dollar cost has to be claimed in Kerrys books?! WTH?

They want to shut down private citizens and/or entities or jam them up. I just don't think thats right.

As far as funding goes, the idiots manage to burn billions, so why not have the govt hand each qualified candidate 50mil and say THAT is it. NO donations from ANY other place. If caught they are tossed out as a candidate and if they get caught after being nominated then that WHOLE party is tossed out for that election.
