Weird thing I just noticed on a box of midol

Ask a doctor before use if you have

- difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland

XxXotic 03-31-2004 07:30 PM

newsflash - men take midol too, it's not just for PMS and bloating, it does work on back pain and headaches and shit :winkwink:

myjah 03-31-2004 07:30 PM

that warning is there for a reason - it applies to some one. how sad

SykkBoy 03-31-2004 07:31 PM

true story:
I was working at the Coyote Cafe inside the MGM Grand (about '93) and I got some severe stomach cramps and a waitress jokingly told me to take a Midol (which we had in our first aid station) so I did and it fucking worked, cramps went away...

OMG :1orglaugh

That reminds me of this comedian I saw once that was talking about these pills that are for certain parts of the body. He said something like, "How do these pills know where to go? Do they have a road map or something? If I take Doan's Back Pills, how do they know where my back is? And I I took a Midol, I can just imagine that pill stopping for directions..." (running his hands through his hair and looking REALLY confused) "Oh man... I am REAAAALLLLY lost." It was very funny. :)

tylonol not work? I mean really midol is priced out of the ass cause they know we need it.

I noticed on a box of bladder infection pills it said to be careful getting them around contact lenses because it could stain them. How the heck did THAT little piece of knowledge come about and why the need to warn? :eek7

Certain meds for bladder spasms and cramps will turn your urine orange, so I'm sure this is where that warning came from. Though I would hope a person would wash their hands after taking the med and before touching their contacts...Hmmmm

That thing with Midol and prostates is totally hilarious. I never would of thought men would be taking Midol since it's such a "chick" type of med anyway, but then again no one ever said Midol is for females only. :)

no but there are many times where men may not have anything but a woman who is around does. I know when i was bartending i'd get headaches all the time but never have tylenol but my trusted ladies always had midol. Midol has cured many, many a headache for me.

It's just a precautionary method so in case someone with prostate problems does take it and keels over and dies at least they were warned ahead of time

Okay, I actually made a trip to the grocery store at 11:30 last night for Midol because I had horrible cramps. TMI, but my bottle doesn't say anything about the prostate. It does say to ask your doctor first before taking it, if you're pregnant. Which I would think that if you were, you wouldn't be having Midol symptoms??

well I hope someone would talk to their doctor if they were pregnant and felt midol symptoms!
