How come doctors claim that they need to sparingly use antibiotics to prevent the creation of antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria... aka "superbugs"....

When they know that livestock farmers are using antibiotics daily and heavily on our food supply.

basically different bugs, different antiobiotics.

my dad has a hard time eating any foods at all because he is so full of meds he has an immunity to them all and he has terrible allergies to food from taking so many antibiotics over the years

I agree, the overuse of antibiotics in our society is rediculous.

Yup, i only use them when i'm desperate

its also partly due to the fact that many people never finish their course, making that strain of bacteria more immune while not quite killing it
