How long do you walk your dog for?

Geeez we actually had some nice weather here today!! nice and warm!!

Took the dog for a long walk in the countryside and felt so much better for it!!

Dogs are a great way to get you off the computer and get a break!!

Something I need to do more often :)

armyofme 03-30-2004 11:52 AM

my dog will actually stand right to the side of the computer chair and bark until you get up and play/walk with her

no small bark either, she's a great dane :glugglug

I take my neighbour's dog out daily for about 45 minutes. I do it as a favor but in reality it makes me get away from the computer at noon every day and get some exercise and fresh air.

Well since I live in a condo, in the city, I can only walk my dogs outside of my building, and back behind the parking lot. I take them out for about 20 minutes 4 or 5 times a day... Bad weather here today though. Been raining all damn morning.

I try to take my dogs out atleast twice a day. the evening walk is a pretty substantial one. Probably 45 mins.

i walk my dogs bunches. the first walk of the morning is to the park which is 3 houses down. a great way to start their day as well as being a great way to start my day.
i then leave and spend the day at the office. once i get home its on.. atleast 4 more walks before bed for all of us :)

yeah take your dog for a walk when it barks at you, thats a great way to teach your dog to bark whenever it wants to go for a walk. next time ignore it when it barks at you like that because it wants to go for a walk. walk the dog when you want to.

i never time it, but i usually take my dog for a 1.5-2 mile walk.

shepherd 03-30-2004 12:27 PM

Twice a day, morning and evening. Each time for about 30-45 minutes.
At 12.5 years old, she's getting older so we're walking less then we used to.
We used to walk about five miles a day until a year ago, now more like 1-2 miles a day.

Good looking dog!!!

I lost my alsation about 2 years ago and broke my heart!! I swore I wouldn't get another dog!! Then my friend brian found out he had cancer and it wasn't looking good for him!! He had a puppy doberman - no one would take her because she's a doberman!! So he was going to get her put down then he ask me and I took her!! The best things I've done, what a great dog, very loyal and protective, she's only 17 months old daft as hell!

I wouldn't swap her for the world now
:) :) :)
