Interesting approach ...
"those sharing more then 2500 pieces of information"

Something needs to be done.
I'm always hesitant about new legislation though.

Won't pass.

Evil1 03-30-2004 08:56 AM

i bet they'll feel a little stupid when they have 500k new 14 years olds in the court system and then have to get re-elected with votes from those kids parents.

BigPinPin 03-30-2004 09:00 AM

p2p will never die

Hustlin Entertainment 03-30-2004 10:06 AM

p2p is eternal it's the cockroach that comes back as one and multiplies as 4,000 .

Basic_man 03-30-2004 10:07 AM

They can't do anything, there's too many users!

crockett 03-30-2004 10:08 AM

that site just screams trust worthy news

DiVo 03-30-2004 10:20 AM

It is always a slippery slope when you start calling the people who elected you criminals.

It really seems as if the word 'Proactive' has been removed from all of the dictionaries in Washington.

We wonder why america is violent and overweight. Too many sticks... not enough carrots.

and for crockett - http://www.wired.com/news/digiwood/0...=wn_polihead_4

Shennanigans!

Giorgio_Xo 03-30-2004 10:24 AM

It won't hold up in court. The issue of the legality of P2P network has already been decided in Appeals Court since there are legal uses of file sharing.

Axeman 03-30-2004 10:25 AM

I wonder how that will play out....

More Booze 03-30-2004 10:26 AM

In other news. Australian recording industry tries to conceal record breaking sales.

Oh, and same thing in UK.

And news.com article - Study says that music sharing doesn't kill sales

TheJimmy 03-30-2004 10:29 AM

this was out on wired.com a day or 2 ago...same topic...
