What do you think of the new they released tonight? I'm feeling the guitars and drums but not sure about the vocals yet. Sounds too much like Stone Sour vocals and not Slipknot, still trying to get use to the song. Do you like the new song?

you are right man, they dont have the sam feel no more.

they seem to have sold themselves to mainstream music instead of their own shit. it does not have the slipknot sound in the vocals. this sounds like it was written by someone else other then cory and the gang. and the music isnt what it was.

this is what labels want it to be, this is too much like every other band out there now, what i always loved about slipknot is that they are themselves, they had their own sound and it was wonderful to my ears, they expressed everything i always wanted to say to people but couldnt, so i listened to what they had to say, banged my head in anger knowing what they are saying is the fucking truth.


what the new track is is what labels want out, the old sound of the solo strings, the punk scream with the grunge throat backing.

fuck that, thats not slipknot..

also with the fans screaming in the backround, that is from Ministry and Manson.

ya i've gotten away from the Knot in the last year or so, and being from the cleveland/akron area, its only a matter of time until you've heard enough slander about slipknot that it eventually has an effect.

Listen to Dissonant , good band outta Grand Rapids Michigan that will blow up soon in my opinion.

man I haven't heard the new one. I think somebody uploaded it to my ftp but I haven't even given it a listen. not since the first full length have i given them a serious listen. the second album seemed so much more death metal than anything else. THe first album though in contrast to above posts does not lack AT ALL. Every single song was an awesome dreadful painting .. never heard anything like it. however like alot of bands its hard to come back with a follow up thats credible.

ill give that new one a listen and get back. i havent so much given them a single thought lately until this post. they are playign here next month and i may go see if they still have it.
