I was raised on Street Fighter II (and Turbo/Championship Edition), but Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance owns all.

The First MK I was 10 years old I think.. I would beat almost everyone in the acrades. Their would be a group of people watching.

They were both really cool back in the day. I still play MK 2 for the super nintendo every once in a while.

MK 3 is my favorite, was playing for days with my friends back in 1999

We've always had the fatalities turned off where I live because they're viewed as too violent.. LOL

Not sure if I could decide... They're both very special to me :)

I was always Liu Kang and Ryu...

That is so awesome. In 6th grade there would be underground markets for MK fatality codes...I'll never forget the "Lu Kang Eagle Decapitation" someone made up out of the blue, yet everyone insisted was the coolest move ever.

Both SFII and MK were great series, but I remember the first game I was truly hooked on was Killer Instinct. I'd destroy everyone at the arcade for hours at a time...had that crowd of people surrounding me, trying their best to kick the 12 year old off the machine. I'll never forget pulling off some 72 hit combo with that one chick with big boobs...

I'm a Street Fighter 2 fan, MK was a good arcade game but the fact that all fighters pretty much had the same moves kinda blew it for me. Plus I like SF for being slower, gives you time to see the opponents moves coming and responding to them. Definately requires more skill (I often noticed hitting all buttons at the same time worked best for me in MK, Tekken, Killer Instinct, etc).

I'm pretty much unbeatable with SF, if anyone wants to play it online against me using an emulator, hit me up ;)

MK Series was by far WAY superior to street fighter, though I liked both, Kombat blew it out of the water and was more of an action game, street fighter was like watching cartoon network anime, got kinda whack after 5 minutes

The chicks in the movie weren't all that bad either...
