'bought' traffic = crap traffic

seeing a lot of posts about 'bought' 'purchased' traffic problems - i have bought quite a lot in the past couple of months - testing - all has been complete crap - not even sure the #'s but - this seems to be a common problem - yet i see more and more traffic sellers coming up all of the time...

in short what i see - if they are selling the traffic - its most likely the bottom of the barrel traffic - NO one would sell their premium traffic - they'd send it to sponsers themselves to reap the benefits....

my :2 cents:

Your a quick one eh? Bet you bought exit 404 traffic too! That's good stuff.

i always knew this type wasnt worth its weight - just gave it a try - cause times change - sometimes - different things are worth a new try...

actually some probably was - some was mis-represented as to the source - and some was actually from where they said it was from....

So how do you generate good traffic ? spam the hell out of google and hope for the best ? Or create something that draws people in, the type of site that friends send to friends in emails.

Joke sites are the way to go :)

There are sources of quality clicked traffic from long established sources/sites out there. In fact, that's the only type of source I will deal with on my traffic site Paid Traffic Source.

If a traffic source isn't on there, chances are there's a reason. I won't promote anyone that isn't willing to put their traffic to the test on my own sites. ALL of my sources have done so...... many others have shyed away from trying to pass my test. I've literally had about a dozen traffic brokers contact me over the past year that wanted me to promote them. However, once they found out I wouldn't promote them without a test, they never contacted me again.

I wonder why.

If they aren't willing to part with some hits to put their worth to the test with me, what worth will their traffic be to you?

People, stop dealing in popup, 404, exit and popunder traffic. Look for sources that offer solid links, clicked by real surfers sitting at real computers, holding real credit cards in their back pockets.

i'd have to look @ the #'s - i know $$ wise - about $2k - not much... just testing...

Bought traffic has been going down hill since the day Buddy Holly died.

I've spent a couple of bucks on it to see what's up, and haven't seen shit from even the most highly recommended.

Don't bother, it definitely tastes like Spam.

:(

Yes, this is very true. If you pay for traffic 95.9% of the time you will not make a profit.

Gotta tell you guys a little story...

In the old days ( before Buddy Passed on :)

1. We worked hard to get good traffic that we could sell to the few programs out there who were buying.

2. It was easier then for sure but I must have spent my first three years working 12 hour days to get to the point where I was wire-transferred 30K per month on my WORD that I would send the traffic in return.

3. I was a medium fish in this pond in this exciting era.

3. I kept my word, they kept theirs.

4. When things started to get strange with certain sponsors the majority of us either quickly, or sometimes slowly, moved to open paysites of our own.

___

Now we're in the modern era.

Story for another day.

Yes, I have to change the text on that... it now leads to their 1 million hits for $1000 deal. I'm in the process of a re-design for several of my sites at once and Paid Traffic Source is one of them.

thanks.

Huggles 03-29-2004 11:25 PM

Hmmm, anyone here who buys traffic and consistantly turns a profit?

cluck 03-29-2004 11:28 PM

Turboface sells good traffic. So does Choker. Though Chokers niche price scale is absolutely ricockulous.

Hi.

I've been buying traffic for 4 years now. Lately I've been buying about $1k-$2.5k per month. That's why I started Paid Traffic Source in the first place.... I was getting ripped off by a lot of places. The ones that were dealing me straight deserved my stamp of approval, and that's what I give them.

You purchase traffic to send it to topsites list which in turn send traffic back to you of quality. Register your sites with the following and then purchase traffic to send to the URLs that you're given!

Pick A Asian
Pick A Interracial
Pick A Boobie
Top Notch Interracial
Top Notch Asian
Kiss A Amateur
Lotza Asian
Lotza Interracial

You can purchase traffic from Gudz for $1/k popups which in turn you can send to those links and they will send you back quality traffic. It's super sweet!! You can contact Gudz at ICQ # 1133763

exactly...

stev0 03-30-2004 12:45 AM

Traffic brokers usually sell useless foriegn traffic... or 404 which is pretty bad too.

I've heard some good things about chokers traffic, haven't personally tried it yet... but probably will one of these days.
