Any of you ever do cursery glances at some "Adult Webportals" today?

How do you judge value on impression or potential advertiser value?

I go about a few different ways.

Of course I check out Alexa rating's but we know how that goes, then I check out search engine quaries with keywords that more or less atempt to target the potential portal.

But a definate give away is to measure the number of advertisers that appear on refreshes in the rotational lots. The fewer advertisers you can guess a couple of things.

1: Lack of traffic.
2: Overpriced ad slots.

For example. Ya can refresh GFY over 10 times and see new advertiser's every refresh. Over 10 Advertisers easily. Thats rather healthy in my book.

While other places ya think that might be huge hold very small rotations.

So in summary I would think that those "adult industry Portal" sites out there for industry traffic are often full of shit as far as significant traffic. Check around ya might see what I mean or maybe I am just trippin here?

In consideration of buying ad space in adult webmaster industry sites what might be some of the best choices and worse choices?

Kick open the can of fucken worms I think this is a valid question to figure out as I approach spending money for paid ad's on webmaster based sites.

How about buying slots on TGP's webmaster submit pages? I am sure some of them guys wouldnt mind a few extra bucks since webmasters are alays going to those places to do there submissions.

Look at buying ad space on webmaster submit pages, sites that consolidate sponsor hosted galleries - there has to be plenty of places to look at as a place to show ads to webmasters.

I make plenty enough to get by, but I kinda got a different idea.

I look at alot of different boards all the time obviously some have alot of advertisers while others have a few.

the thing to think about though is to see who those advertisers are and if ya take a close look ya will notice that alot of these "Resources" are rather "Clanish". Meaning you will see ownerships of boards come into play and the webmaster portal is nothing more than a tool for the sponsor's that advertise on them with a modest investment in the actual portal.

Back in the day webmasters found alot of impressions in News Groups. They say News groups were kinda the first style BBS's and they pretty much were a nice place where you could find the latest stolen scans from PlayBoy, Penthouse, Hustler.

There was not alot of original content back then. There were a few folks that had it down pat though and they would actually steel scans from one anoher and repost them.

Thus that was the invention of "pissing".

Pissing didnt just start on the old adult webmaster boards but there were days when early webmasters would start narkin out other guys that submitted there stolen scans!
