Why I Hate Rogers
 

I am so pissed off at rogers.ca - last week I had cleaned off a virus in my email only to find two days later my internet was cut off by rogers. When I called they said that they are going to shut me down for a week because of it.

After telling them that my work depends on me being online they almost laughed at me saying that if it happens again - I get shut down for a month.

I am switching to bell sympatico and called the VP of rogers who said he will look into it (*he was stunned that this rule was in affect) and that even when I get cut off I still pay for the time I am offline!!!

sites like http://www.ihaterogers.ca have surfaced over this fucking company who screws over its members because they are so huge.

So I am sitting in my office at work online angry as hell that I am paying for a service I cant use.

anyone else know of these guys and have a story to tell??

You should just hate all of canada. Makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Rogers refuses to put virus filters on their email servers.

Go figure.

Now, I have an interesting story. I won an "Internet For Life" contest with Rogers, back when they used the word "Unlimited" in their marketing.

Now they are suspending and cancelling the accounts of high volume users, claiming that they are abusing the system.

I am prepared to go to court, saying that I won Internet for Life in the form the product was marketed at, at the time I won.

Hopefully I win, and can be used as a precedent for others.
