GENEVA - Sir Peter Ustinov, a brilliant wit and mimic who won two Oscars for an acting career that ranged from the evil Nero in "Quo Vadis" to the quirky Agatha Christie detective Hercule Poirot, has died. He was 82.

Ustinov was an extraordinary actor. Quo Vadis ruled. I enjoyed his voice-over of USSR airforce documentaries on the Discovery Wings Channel. If I remember correctly, he originated from a noble White Russian family that escaped Lenin.

Everybody's gotta go sometime.
