Because when you first start out in a business, most people really don't know what they're doing. So they look around, and try to emulate the people that they think or know are doing well.

If you have a big site, and on top of it a big personality drawing attention to yourself ... Well of course people are going to look to you to emulate your success.

You never know ... one of these "insignificant nothings" may end up with the hotest affiliate program going. Best to treat people with a minimum amount of respect.
