tonights episode (what i caught of it anyway) was quite funny, i'll have to d/l it to catch the whole thing though.

i find the older simpsons, season 1 - 5, arent all that great..

Exactly, last I heard most cartoons are supposed to be funny... what was so funny about tonights?

what i think has been lacking lately is the endings.

I dont fucking care if they sucks now, I love The Simpsons, I grew up with them. I always watch the old episodes and still find them funny even If I seen those hundred of times. Classics never dies.

I don't think they have been sucking. But, I will agree, there has been a lack of great quotable lines lately. I actually used a simpsons quote today , its funny because they are differnt than us. and i say, It's funny because its true, at least once a day.

I tend to agree, however you still have to love The Simpsons because it's The Simpsons.

I can't believed they cancelled Futurama instead of The Simpsons, that show had so much potential left in it. :(

Futurama was cancelled? Damn! How many seasons did it run for? (I have 1, 2 and 3 on DVD so far)

5 seasons, 72 brilliant episodes. Futurama had so much more to work with than The Simpsons.

futurama was awesome i can't believe it was taken off prime time here in oz. Yeah i've noticed the simpsons have started descending into a lot more traditional one liners and sight gags, although the simpsons has had poorer seasons in the past and come back strong, it's just changes as the writing teams change.

They must be playing some old episodes.

I watched season 1 episode 1 yesterday, that fucking sucked!

I just finished watching the Simpsons and I have to say other than Homer taking a shit in the changing room, it was pretty blah!

I have to disagree. The Simpsons are great. Whether or not they're going downhill, they're still better than any other show on the air. :2 cents:
