That's not the directory though, that's just the search results from the Google engine.

Thats right .This is not a free listing in their directory but just a guarantee Yahoo will look at your site for their serps.It still has to pass a spam check and still needs good links to actually rank for any keywords in their search engine.
Basically it means fuck all as any decent site with some decent links will get crawled anyway.

Anyway, there is no traffic to get from Yahoo the way the results is sorted now.

I am getting 40 hits a day from Yahoo. Big deal.

I am not surprised that the submission is now free. I guess nobody really needs to get listed there anymore and they still need sites to offer to their visitors. Fuck them.
