Old computer monitor started smoking
 

What a coincidence it was today that I was reading that a computer can start a fire and then a few hours later on my old computer, the 15" daytek monitor starts smoking. I was walking around the house when something stunk, and then I relized it was coming from the computer monitor. Nothing bad happened, just house stinks a bit. And I need a new monitor. It was a Daytek monitor that was built back in 1997. I though It would last longer.

That's why you should never aim up when squirting... probably some cum from the afternoon whack-off session got into your monitor and caused this... :2 cents: :1orglaugh

No thats not the monitor that I use primary. Thats just my old old computer. And I didnt leave the monitor running all day, just the computer.

i have a history of owning computers that just stop working.

usually the power supply eats the mother board and im out another 500 or 600 bucks to build another....maybe i suck at building them.

Quit buying used HP parts to build with then!! lol

http://www.microcenter,com has reasonable prices on most of their screens. Refurbs can be really cheap and namebrand too. We got two 17" refurbs last yr for 40 a pop after $49 rebates. ;-)

That's kind of funny in that sad coincidence kind of way. Out with the old and in with the new~
