Depeche Mode at the Spectrum?! Damn! That was a long time ago!

Basher 03-28-2004 10:19 AM

go here and install the windows installer

then do a search on http://www.suprnova.org

you'll get full full albums off there

I'm a master at tracking down old forgotten tunes. Much of my playlist is tunes that people once loved but now never or rarely get played on the radio.

If I know even a few of the lyrics, I search out the song on ya-hell or google or alta-twista,

then I open up WinMx and usually find it. WinMx is terrific.

I wouldn't touch kazaa with a ninety foot pole, for many reasons.

And by the way, before any sphincter pebbles want to beak off about downloading music, I've bought over 500 records in my day, and almost as many CD's, and a few thousand tapes over the past 30 years or more. I have paid for just about every song I ever loved in one way or another and have pumped thousands into the music industry.

The only reason I d/l songs is because I also want them on my computer, for my personal playlist. It's mostly classic rock that I d/l anyway, stuff that I've already bought in the past. There's not much new stuff that appeals to me these days.

Radio Dashboard has a couple dedicated 80's Channels and a Brit Pop Channel which is mostly the 80's stuff.

If you want to buy old music - usually cheaply - try http://www.magpiedirect.com/

They even send you a mag with the "new" releases and special offers once you are a customer. Excellent place for tracking stuff down and for being reminded of bands you had forgotten.
