If you were to buy a car...

...and you were in doubt between two different ones, one definitely a great car and fairly affordable, and the other the best car you could think of, your dream car even, but extremely expensive. You have the money to buy either, but buying the best one will definitely hurt your bank account a bit.

Which one would you go with?

Oracle Porn 03-28-2004 07:49 AM

dream car
you only live once.

At 22, getting buried with your cash isn't an issue yet, and you can always buy the dream car later and for now use the money for business investments.

Dream car!
I mean ya got the money!

isis69 03-28-2004 08:16 AM

get the one you want. you'll never be happy with the other. I did that - went with the more reasonable car - and still really haven't accepted my car.

TweetyBird 03-28-2004 08:43 AM

go with the dream car :winkwink:

Trax 03-28-2004 08:54 AM

so you're 22, right?
Well...
you are a young guy... why do you need to buy your dream car that early?? save your money and invest it... make more money out of it... you said it would hurt your bank account...
why would you want that to happen...? And what happens when you crash you car? I assume you have no money to buy your dream car a second time... do you wanna go back driving a $5000 car after you drove your ($100.000 ??) dream car? Believe me... you don't want to do that.
there is nothing bad about buying your dream car when you're 30 which is still young.

i say go buy the great car
:2 cents:

Poo-Chee 03-28-2004 08:56 AM

The dream car!

zip 03-28-2004 09:00 AM

keep riding my bike till I can afford the car without any hassle.

Pete 03-28-2004 09:03 AM

My self: I would get the cheaper car and put the money i saved into my house or my boat. They keep their value better then a car does. Perhaps later in life i'll buy a dream car but at this piont in my life i want my money working for me and not me working for it.:2 cents:

defintely save for a house. Much better investment, I had a 2001 infiniti, brand new..600 fucking bucks a month..times got rough, I picked up a car from a buy here pay here place.

My reason: it was more important for me to make my mortgage payment, and keep my house than a ridiculously expensive car

KMR Stitch 03-28-2004 09:09 AM

Dream car :-)

KDizzla 03-28-2004 09:10 AM

A car is just an extension of your penis. :1orglaugh

strobi 03-28-2004 09:14 AM

I would go for the OK car unless your 40+ years old. You've got a LONG road ahaid! Making 20K$/month for a few years is nothing!

demented 03-28-2004 09:16 AM

I've actually had to make this decision lately with other expensive things. I went for it... I figured it's best to get what you WANT and what will make you HAPPY, so then you don't sit and regret it, or get down on yourself when you see someone else that "went for it"..

demented 03-28-2004 09:16 AM

Plus, you can always make the money back by working your ass off :thumbsup

My thoughts exactly.

AVM 03-28-2004 10:44 AM

Save your money, go for the affordable car.

Fuck masking your insecurities, and overcompensating your self worth - Status quo is overrated. You may think the guy in 1993 car is humorous when compared to the guy in the new 2003 Lexus. But I for one, find it more humorous that he pulls his $40,000 car into a one bedroom apartment parking lot- Living paycheck by paycheck, eating Cocoa Crispies (generic brand) for dinner.

Dream car, you could die tomorrow

Za Ha 03-28-2004 10:53 AM

If you are making INSANE amounts of money than buy your dream car, fuck, get 2.

But if you are just making enough to make you quite happy save it and invest it in something that will provide you with a good cash flow for some time. I'm only 19 and can afford my dream car (Cayenne) but I chose to invest in real estate so that when something fucks up online I will still have some income coming in and will not be forced to actually "work".

Its up to you, if you want to waste your money now and be flashy go right ahead if you can afford it, but if you wanna be 30 and almost retired than invest your money wisely.

cayne 03-28-2004 10:57 AM

dreamcar!

Get your dream car. I had a 68 GTO.
Would like to get another one, my all time fav car is a 57 chevy Nomad

Edguy! 03-28-2004 12:34 PM

Well I'd sell one of my limbs to own a '68 Mustang Shelby or a Bugatti Zonda... so.... nobrainer.
