What do you use to make notes/stay organized

My workspace looks like a fucking disaster area. There's paper everywhere, and I can't really throw it away because it all has shit jotted down on it. Sometiems I use iCal to email myself things I need to do, but most of the time I just jot shit down on anything I can find, pieces of papers, old envelopes, my hand, even a paper plate. What do you use/suggest I do to be more organized and not hav a workspace that looks like a fucking wild animal went through it? Thanks. :thumbsup

Notepad.exe.... All you need.

Almost, any way. Get a file cabinet.

I've got a whiteboard for taking notes, but it's mostly got random thoughts on it...

My filing system consists of piles of papers, envelopes, receipts, and cheques, all in a circle around my chair and desk. Horror show. :(

Yeah, I tried those, but I usually have so many different windows and programs going that my desktop may be covered for a week or more at a time. Maybe I can get a secretary to work for free. That would be the ultimate solution. :Graucho

same here. I also keep a pad on my desk for writing down important stuff like phone numbers so i can rip the page out and go and do stuff while not using my laptop

I use a combination of stickies on my mac, notes on little note pads and other pieces of paper all over my desk and I have a white board and thumb tack board. It can be a mess.
