Women mourn loss of slain Casanova

THE only thing slain underworld crook Andrew "Benji" Veniamin liked better than fast cars was women. Lots of women.
And if this week's tributes were any guide, they liked him even more.
Those who knew the suspected hitman described him as loyal, popular - and very cocky.
Around Sunshine, the suburb where he grew up, he was a minor celebrity.
"You would always brag that if you got into trouble, there's one guy that would always be there for you," said neighbour Michael Jovanovski, 20.
"My friends admired him - there aren't many people in Sunshine who haven't heard of him,
"I was blessed to have lived in the same street as him."
By all accounts, 28-year-old Benji was the casanova of Carter St.
"His interests were basically girls and cars - he was your average guy," Mr Jovanovski said.
"You wouldn't pick him as the sort of guy to have a meaningful relationship with someone though."
His lady friends saw their liaisons differently, however.
"Our plans for the future will be sadly missed, but you'll always remain in my heart," KK wrote in the Herald Sun's death notices.
"You left me, the best part of you, to cherish and to love our daughter," Nataline Falzon wrote.
And Cherie is hurting: "I . . . wish you were still in my arms."
Bree declared her love for Veniamin, while "The Girls", Karlie and Tiffany said they would miss the fun times they shared.
For others, he stirred deep emotions.
Rena said Veniamin's name was engraved in her heart in letters of gold: "You're the sweetest person that has touched my heart."
And one woman, who declined to be named, said Veniamin had been unfairly portrayed as a villain.
