do i need 5mbit or 10mbit hosting ?

what do you think ? i would submit 2-3 movie galleries every day, each gallery would have 3x1.5mb movies.

it depends how many visitors your going to get daily. If its less than 50K then Ithink 5mbit should be enough.

yes i plan to have about 40-50k ...

I borrow your thread,

How much GB/day does 50k trafic take, if I send em to a gallery page with 3x1,5 mb videos?

zagi 03-27-2004 10:38 AM

I would estimate it as follows,

50,000 visits

25,000 visits click on 1 movie

25,000 * 1 = 25,000

10K click on 2 movies
10,000 * 1 = 10,000

5K click on 3 movies
5,000 * 1 = 5,000

Total: 40,000Megs/day = 40Gig x 30 days =

1200Gigs or just about 5mbits a bit less

ICQ: 4930562 -- I can get you a good deal on high quality bandwidth

good idea to shoot low and just pay overage on it, most places aren't going to rape you on overages but there's no need to book a solid 10mbits if you're only gonna hit 6 or 7

depends on many things such as: how many videos will each surfer view?

if all of them then that's 225TB (assuming you meant 1.5MB not 1.5mb) lol

One my freinds have around 150-300K per day on movies galleries. Maximum used channel - 46 Mbits.

I would say about 4 megabits...so the 5 megplan would work just fine
