I have all of my mail on web-based accounts. I find it easier to let them deal with the filtering and the hosting than to do it myself. Also, I can access everything I need if I'm over at a friend's or traveling abroad at an internet cafe. Makes things alot simpler, for me anyhow.

myro 03-27-2004 10:00 AM

I'm looking for a replaecemtn for Lookout Express
I also have Outlook from my MS software bundle, but I figure that's probably as exploit friendly, too so why bother?

Need a safer e-mail client, preferably one I can team up with a SPAM killer. Is Thunderbird bundled with the Mozilla browser? Or stand alone?

radical 03-27-2004 01:54 PM

Outlook Express :thumbsup

Lace 03-27-2004 01:55 PM

I run Exchange Server 2003... and connect to it through Outlook 2003 or from Outlook Web Access when I am away. It is the only way to go IMHO :2 cents:

M$ Outlook.. I like the integration of email, calendar, contacts, etc. Been using that shit forever, too.. it'd be too much hassle to get used to a different GUI unless a different program had great features Outlook didn't.. damn M$.

Furious_Male 03-27-2004 02:51 PM

Eudora Pro since Gore invented all this.

Been using TheBat for 3 years and haven't looked back. Now comes with a built in BayesIt spam filter that I've had 0 false positives with and only a couple misses a day for two weeks now.

Ximian Evolution for reading my Email here,

on the spam side of things for Windows users, have you tried SaProxy (spamassassin wrapper for Windows)? it used to be freeware and now I think it went commercial however all the people that I know who use it say it works very well for them.

booker 03-27-2004 03:25 PM

Spam Arrest is the way to go.
