they prolly gross around 120-150 mil a year

I think its down from a few years ago since they dont buy as many search engines as they used to...

but prolly their margin is up :)

Hmmm...

With 8.4 million members paying up to 9.95$ a month each, plus about 2k hosts live at all times making cash... I dont know but its a LOT!

Furious_Male 03-27-2004 02:33 PM

Big money. But I am sure its not much today being they have been down most of the day from where I am.

uhmmm... I agree.

They pretty much dominate the cam biz. Millionaires
spending $1000 a month on cams or more
and love it.

Much better than owning a casino.

$$$$$

:glugglug

Martin 03-27-2004 02:44 PM

Damn that's some serious paper.

Mutt 03-27-2004 02:55 PM

that was about my guesstimate too Lars. I was thinking 100 million.

They got allmost all their traffic from MSN (Nightsurf and IFriends are same). Guss how much they are paying for that traffic ?

It's not millionaires, it's the lonely guys, and they spend way more than $1000/month. A guy can drop $300 in an hour easy.

Nothing builds loyalty like a pretty girl who you think might actually like you. These guys come back every night until ifriends declines their card.

Mutt 03-27-2004 03:30 PM

yeah some of those guys spend insane money.

sad if they really can't afford it. to go into debt just to talk to a naked girl on the interweb is pathetic.

wonder how many divorces webcam and chat sites are responsible for - A TON.
of course u can't blame the Net, the marriage couldn't have been in great shape but definitely these sites are the 'final straw' in many marriage breakups.

emmanuelle 03-27-2004 03:40 PM

I think that the majority of the big spenders are just lonely guys. Chances are they have money in the bank due to not having a social life. For the first time he has the confidence to talk to a pretty girl, who says all the right things, and he craves more of that feeling.
It's sad, but I believe it's all too human.

TORTOISE 03-27-2004 04:14 PM

Revenues dont mean nothing, its what you make clear profit .. i still have a check of thiers(well actually its a clickcash check) that bounced for 300 bucks ,returned with the stamp not enough funds to pay it ,guess that shows big revenue doesnt mean jack shit:(

They have paid me on time, every time, for 2 years.

brand0n 03-28-2004 12:23 AM

i would think the better question is what % does ifriends shave on the adv?

Of course some are lonely guys....

But, there are many others..

Some may just want a lil variety in thier lives, and some are couples... Some are girls.

And not all are ugly, thats for sure :Graucho

Pornwolf 03-28-2004 12:52 AM

I'm really surprised the majority of that market hasn't switched to the free whores on AOL/Yahoo etc.

Axeman 03-28-2004 01:02 AM

Really tough to say but I would think 200-250 a year wouldnt be out of the question...

sean416 03-28-2004 01:08 AM

A guy I know owns a web cam company that is WAY smaller then ifriends and they clear a million a month.. so ifriends must be nuts..

Donnie Gangsta 03-28-2004 01:33 AM

What I'd like to know is how they keep their chargebacks within the guidelines

I was wrong-

8.4 million members

Some have vip memberships at around 7$ a month

Some have elite memberships at around 10$ a month

Some belong to fanclubs at 15-30$ a month each

Some belong to many, many fanclubs

Some pay for live chat at the rate of .99 to 5.99 a minute

Most members I encounter have memberships to more than 1 fanclub and are elite members and spend plenty of time in per-minute chat.

So, basically, I have no idea how much ifriends makes but its a lot.

Brujah 04-17-2004 10:54 AM

Al said it's about $450m, and no you can't borrow any.

Indeed... lots of horny girls on chatrooms... Maybe those guys can't talk a girl into stripping?

Fletch XXX 04-17-2004 10:58 AM

as long as msn sends ALL of their adult search results to Nightsurf.com they will continue to make killer bank, in addition to all other streams.

Those aren't active members, they are the number of members that have signed up since it started. Also, you can be a member and not pay a penny....only VIP's pay the $9.95 or whatever it is.

That was simply a problem when they switched banks and they made good immediately on all the problem checks. Why didn't you contact them and have them reissue you a check?

pornstar2pac 04-19-2004 04:26 AM

40million a month, after taxes
