Price important but also depends on the project.
Sometimes how fast they can do the job! So this would be reliability

About jobs done fast, if you can't plan fast enough then your dumb .

If you start a paysite with a 500 $ cheap design, you are just wasting your time .

ability to give ideas, take direction and deliver a marketable site

I dont think a site should be done to fast if you have a lot of content it takes time to make decent gallerys not to long though.. an adult designer has ore experience with tours etc

I agree...the beer they drink shows whether or not they are worth your time or not. Their choice of hot wing spiceyness is also a big factor here.
