Why do some of you avoid checking your stats?

It seems like it's a key factor when determining how certain campaigns and marketing tactics are working. If you aren't maximizing your conversion ratios, shouldn't you try a different approach regardless of your income? If you aren't checking, how do you even know that you're pushing the right products?

They don't want to jinx it by checking.

Too much stress.

That's a pretty strange answer. How could you jinx something that you don't know is good? Just because the checks are high doesn't mean the conversions are great. :2 cents:

At times your stats are alot like the stock market. You can easily go broke dealing day by day.

That's definitly true, but some say then never check. Isn't a periodic check a smart thing to do? At least you can get an idea of traffic trends.

If the hits aren't working at 1 place, send them elsewhere.

I check mine every 10 min when Im working. I cant help it!

People who don't check their stats boggle my mind. You won't know what needs improving you if you don't know as much information as possible about your marketing.

Stats Remote improved our bottom line simply by giving us a quick glance number with no effort any time of any day.

I do check them, just not every single day.

Exactly. Unfortunately Stats Remote will not function on my computer, but it's a scheduled part of my day to check my active sponsers and see how the traffic is converting.

A lot of people have different methods of checking and tracking, but it's important to do so regardless of your method.

I made the mistake of expecting things to stay the same back in 99 and stopped checking my stats but kept spending like money grew on trees. Unfortunately, I really should have been checking those stats :winkwink:

As long as it doesn't get in the way of actual work, that's awesome. Don't let it take over doing the actual work though. Pretty soon, there will be no stats left to check! :1orglaugh
