Message Boards The Premiere B2B Marketing Tool?

It's amazing GFY among other boards are quite remarkable marketing tools if used right. And I am not speaking about sigwhores, sig selling etc.

Some people have started their careers here with a single post, others have lost them...LOL

If not for GFY or other boards it wouldn't be difficult to communicate with other webmasters but you wouldn't be able to communicate with so many at the same time.

Imagine how much time is saved instead of searching out sites you wish to do business with and emailing those owners by just coming on a board and making a single post. Within minutes of hitting the submit button on GFY you can be inundated with responses from people you may have never met or known existed.

It's a great tool, and thx to it's power I have made some decent coin over the last 2 years...thx GFY et al

I think a board of this size is an amazing asset to form b2b relationships.
First I had a negative outlook on sigs, but after a week of putting my sig up, it allowed me to close 4 deals this week, just by posting in misc. threads, actually the power of boards is quite mindblowing to tell you the truth

GFY is priceless.

I can't think of one other industry offline or online that relies on, and conducts so efficently, networking amongst all the players and different service providers.

What's truly amazing is you have people here who make more off of just posting than most people make working 40-50 hours a week, and once again I'm not referring to the "sigwhores."

And as far as power is concerned when that drama meter rises you know there's a handful of people sweating it out hoping it' s not them this time...LOL

its a great tool, these boards, but the problem is the mob mentallity. just because 2 or 3 people decide to call someone a scammer it seems that everyone else jumps on the bandwagon.

on the otherhand, when theres actual proof, its great because everyone can save the trouble of dealing with those particular scammers

DarkJedi 03-26-2004 03:29 PM

i agree, bandwagon monkies are tiny little shit stains on the winshield of GFY.

I'm calling you out gold digger!

But yeah you're right...I try to stayaway from the drama now..it's not productive whether I'm for or against the person..I just make a note of who's involved then move on.
