PRESIDENT BUSH 100% OWNED ( CNN transcript from April 2001 proves Clarke was right)

http://www.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0104/30/ip.00.html

Quote:

Aired April 30, 2001 - 17:00 ET

<snip>

The State Department officially released its annual terrorism report just a little more than an hour ago, but unlike last year, there's no extensive mention of alleged terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden. A senior State Department official tells CNN the U.S. government made a mistake in focusing so much energy on bin Laden and "personalizing terrorism."

oops,
looks like the Bush admin decided that focusing too much on Osama Bin Laden is not a good idea, back in 2001
5 months later they were proved very wrong

Bush fucked up big time

Bush needs to get thrown out of office. Quick.

DarkJedi 03-26-2004 02:21 PM

Bush rested for 5 minutes after he was told "America is under attack"

After learning of the second WTC hit, it took Shrub over 32 minutes to leave that elementary school.

JFK 03-26-2004 02:23 PM

Is there really such a person ? Or just a figment of some Black op spooks imagination ? And Yes Know what I hear in the news:winkwink:

genomega 03-26-2004 02:26 PM

A senior State Department official.

What does that have to do with bush?
That agency needs a complete overhaul to kick out all of the leftists that have lived there for 40 years.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 03-26-2004 02:28 PM

Agree. He is truly a disgrace.

What about the rest of the transcript dealing with that issue??

Quote:

still, Secretary of State Colin Powell says efforts to fight global terrorism will remain consistent.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

POWELL: The results are clear: state sponsors of terrorism are increasingly isolated; terrorist groups on under growing pressure. Terrorists are being brought to justice, we will not let up. But we must also be aware of the nature of the threat before us. Terrorism is a persistent disease.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

WOODRUFF: The secretary of state did go on to say that South Asia, particularly Afghanistan, continues to be the focal point for terrorism that is directed against the United States.
A "Senior State Dept Official" is a lame way to make an accusation. The State Dept has long had problems, including being infiltrated with foreign spies

Great point.

I agree with you, all the facts are wrong and what Bush and the rest of the admin blurt out on talk shows is right. I also bow down to Ingsoc.

cluck 03-26-2004 03:16 PM

I think Clarke made alot more sense than either the left or the right is giving him credit for.

The left is taking it to mean he is putting down BUSH, but he also admits that the Clinton administration failed. He admits that he has failed in his job under many presidents.

He admits that he lied for the Bush administration, but he also says that he did that for several other administrations on both sides.

What about the quote "I don't believe it's a question of morality, I believe it is a question of politics."

He came forth and made it clear that the anti-terror policies of the USA in general are just totally FUBAR'd. Also that the government lies to the people about the horrible situation to avoid panic.

The problem is still that both sides are pointing fingers. Each side is just trying to look good right now, but who's doing something to fix the problem of our failed anti-terror policies? Noone.

Do Republicans ever wonder why Bush and Rice won't testify under oath? Do they think there is any reason other than an obsessive fear of the truth?

I have never seen a groupthink and doublethink machine like this administration.

Read this book written by a Republican terrorism expert:

I don't think many people who are still Bush supporters have much capacity for independent thought.

Yeah that was creepy as hell.

Think about how you and your friends react to learning of an attack or injury against one of them -- instantly mobilized.

He didn't want to ask any questions to the guy that told him about it?

Warden 03-26-2004 05:07 PM

Not supporting Bush here but we all know, especially in this industry, that the media never twists the truth into drama, right?
