Major linklists in Yahoo limbo?
I was listening to the radio show where they had the new CEO from Yahoo and one of the things he was talking about was that sites that contain nothing but a bunch of links to other like sites that all link them back are considered spam on the new Yahoo index. Even sites that had already passed the editorial review in the yahoo directory were not exempt. I?ve been doing some research into it and it seems that there is definitely something going on:
http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=sl...uy+link+o+rama http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=sl...ve+adult+links http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=sl...=smut+gremlins (this one is horrible) http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=sl...jays+xxx+links http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=sl...p=link+for+sex A few of the LL?s are in there. I?m not trying to be #1 for porn, but it would be nice in Yahoo could at least find me when they search by the name of my site and my linklist has a lot of content in it besides the links. Anybody have any thoughts on this? |
That's fucked up. It's like you're getting penalized for fair and ethical SEO.
|
That sucks big time for LL owners and free site guys. :(

Didnt yahoo basically start off as a link site?
|
The question is how are they deciding, is this another yahoo human review thing or is there an algo making the choice.
The way it's applied looks like a human review thing to me so far. Any sign that TGPs are being banned on the same basis? I haven't heard of this yet. The linklist ban started on AV and Alltheweb about three months back, then moved to tahoo with the big change, am I right in thinking this? |
I think its algo.
I got a TGP-like site that is #4 in google for a good KW, but nowhere to be found in Yahoo. :ak47: Yahoo! |
insuring market share by pushing over small guys, not a good sing
