We need lobbyists in Washington lobbying for us.

Isn't there an industry group already? I'm not sure if they are lobbyists per se but wasn't there a group that brought down the first Communications Decency Act?

I'm in complete agreement. I'll even be willing to throw in some money. We need a powerfull lobby, kinda like what the riaa does.

when i think more about it it make total sense....but it must be someone who knows the industry fro day 1..maybe someone with a laywer like background as well

This was tried in 1996, the truth is unless everyone pooled together this industry could not afford a real lobby.

Also NO elected official would be caught dead with the PORN lobby.

Like it or not we will never be viewed as a legitimate business, and based on a lot of the antics at the trade shows it is easy to understand why.

Question is do we want to be viewed as legitimate business? Whouldn't that slow down the business?

If anything it would be good to have one person fighting things like Acacia, the media, child pornographers, etc. Just someone that will try to get this business in a better light and help us fight some of the battles that come up from time to time. :2 cents:
