Discussion on people like us

Do you think we turn girls into "sluts," having them do things for money, or do we simply capitalize on the fact that they want to get naked and do things for money. Note, I am not calling anyone in this business a slut, but I was told that what I do is "turn girls into sluts," so it is the words of someone who really doesn't understand this business, not me. Opinions please.

You mean they weren't sluts to begin with?

Rorschach 03-25-2004 10:16 PM

I'd imagine they have to have a certain slutty aspect to their character to do it in the first place. Personally I'm not making anyone into a slut, I don't even use content.

Well, I want this to be a discussion about whether or not we are responsible for "turning girls into sluts," not an argument on whether or not all girls in this industry are sluts. It's sounds like a contradiction, but they really are two seperate topics. :2 cents:

I'd say Britney and Christina are far more guilty of turning girls into sluts than we are.

That's actually a very good point.

They are the ones who get into this business, they should know the consequences of their actions. Nobody forced them to those things, I think they probably want to turn into sluts...

It's already starting off prejudiced with the loaded word "slut." Truth be told, how many McJobs can 18,19 year olds find these days that will actually give them some extra cash to do what they want with their lives?

How is it explotive for them to loan their body for a few hours of a photoshoot when it's not exploitive to send that same body into war to be maimed, mutilated and killed? At least the porn model (well bad timing, that photographer was just mentally imbalanced, most of us aren't) is more than 95% likely to come out in the same shape, mentally and physically, as when they came in.

I've met tons of models. True, some can be pretty fucked up, druggies, but a lot of them just want to get to their goals as quick as possible, and are not ashamed of their bodies or sexuality.

I really queston how paying somebody a decent chunk of change - several hundred dollars - is "exploitive." They made the choice first off, and they're being well compensated. I'd say it's more exploitive to call these people "exploited" since most of those who level those accusations are pushing their own beliefs into the lives of mostly unwanting individuals for the sake of furthering their own koolade movements.

I totally agree. In fact, that was pretty much my response to the person who told me that it's "people like me who turn girls into sluts." They're just jealous.

pimplink 03-26-2004 01:25 AM

It depends on the girls. If they wanna show their
body for money, then That's not our
problem.

modelgigtalent 03-26-2004 01:27 AM

If they are going to do "porn" they are already sluts.
If they are just going to pose nude solo many of them are not sluts at all. I deal with them every day and there is a huge difference.
Two girls were staying with me last week, both fucked me and probably fucked 4-5 other guys (not on camera just for fun).
But solo girls typically dont do that.
