we'll I've talked to a few soldiers that have been in Iraq and it's not a picnic.. Top of that you are talking a large number of our forces there are reserves. Remember the commericals one week end a month one week a year and we'll pay for your education.. well they got the shit end of the deal and got one year of education in Iraq insted.

They are also dealing with a country that orginaly welcomed them but is now turning on them. Think about it, it's everyday on the news we hear about a soldier getting killed in Iraq but how many are wonded everyday? That's a lot of pressure to deal with everyday, I'm sure many can't handel it.

If I didn't know your views on the war, I would have thought this was a sarcastic comment. :)

I suspect that if he felt anything whatsoever, he'd do the right thing and at least go visit some of the fallen as they're returned to the country. Or at a funeral. Or something.

i think soldiers, as well as all other Americans, collectively speaking, are pussies nowadays.. notice I said collectively speaking... this generation are a bunch of spoiled and whiney quitters.. i doubt iraq is as hard as nam.. you can tell by the death tolls.
